The forum convenes 80 senior executives from 24 growth markets, participating in the Swedish Institute’s Global Executive Programme(SIGEP), alongside a select group of Swedish business leaders, investors, and innovators.

Bringing together stakeholders from sectors such as energy, mining, transport and digitalisation, the forum focuses on key shifts shaping the green transition.

Speakers

Oscar Stenström
Director and Senior Advisor at Wallenberg Investment AB

Oscar Stenström is Director and Senior Advisor at the Wallenberg Office. He has served as State Secretary to the Prime Minister responsible for the Swedish NATO application. State Secretary in Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation and Foreign Affairs with responsibilities for trade, export, competitiveness, and innovation (2014-2018). He is a former Ambassador at the Swedish Government Offices and has served as the Swedish ambassador to Chile (2018-2022).

He is Senior Advisor to Mr. Jacob Wallenberg, Chair of Investor AB, Mr. Marcus Wallenberg, Chair of SEB, Saab AB, and FAM, and to Mr. Peter Wallenberg Jr., Chair of Wallenberg Foundations AB. Oscar also serves as Senior Advisor to several companies within the Wallenberg sphere.

Oscar is a master graduate of KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Master of Science in Engineering and has studied applied physics at Chalmers University of Technology.

Oscar lives in Stockholm, is married and has two daughters.

Jan Larsson
Chief Executive Officer - Business Sweden

Jan Larsson was appointed CEO of Business Sweden in May 2021. He has a broad experience from business, government offices and politics in Sweden. In business, he has been management consultant and engagement manager at McKinsey & Company and was partner at the public relations consultancy Brunswick. Furthermore, he was CEO of the private equity owned vocational education company YrkesAkademin and Chief Communications Officer at two leading Nordic banks, Nordea and Handelsbanken.

In the government offices, Larsson has served as State Secretary, Chief of Staff, Press Secretary and Speech writer to the former Swedish Prime minister and as political adviser to the former Finance Minister. In addition, he has been Sherpa to the Prime Minister in the Progressive Governance Network of Heads of Government, research scholar in Yugoslavia/Slovenia and reserve Lieutenant in the Swedish airborne rangers. He has also held board positions in both companies and state authorities.
